LANXESS India a subsidiary of the LANXESS AG group and a leading supplier of performance polymers & chemicals is planning to set up an ion exchange resin plant at Jhagadia in Gujarat. The unit will manufacture products caters to generation of treated water and it includes the relocation of rubber plant from Thane to Jhagadia in a phased manner. The project entails an estimated investment of Rs.3,227.9 million. As of January 2009, the company has recently signed an MoU with the state government. The project is expected to be completed by 2010.

Solar Industries a part of the Nagpur based Solar Explosives is planning to implement an ammonia plant (594,000 TPA) in Chhattisgarh. The project includes a di methyl ether unit (929,000 TPA), a CPP (70 MW) and a coal washery (14,000 TPA). The project will be implemented at an estimated cost of Rs.54,870 million. The company has signed an MoU with the state government and further developments are expected in the following months.

Navran Advanced Nano Products Development International engaged in the manufacturing of nano-products is setting up a polymerized toner manufacturing unit (400 TPA) at Dhamandri in Una district of HP. The project is being implemented at an investment of Rs.570 million funded through equity. Srinidhi Engineers, Mumbai is the major equipment supplier. As of February 2009, civil works are in progress. The project is expected to be completed by the last quarter of 2009.
