PROJECTS IN PLANNING STAGE

HOTELS

Appu Hotels is planning to construct hotel projects at various locations as part of its expansion plans in southern region. The project envisages a cumulative investment of Rs.10,000 million to be funded through debt, equity & internal accruals. The project details are as follows:

  • A convention centre in Chennai on 24 acres near Chennai airport along with a foreign JV partner. The proposed invest­ment is Rs.5,000 million.
  • The company is in the process of acquiring land for its proposed 5-star hotel in Puducherry at an estimated cost of Rs.2,000million.
  • The company plans to build a resort with 100 rooms on a 9-acre property on the East Coast Road near Chennai at an investment of Rs.1,500 million.
  • The company also plans to add another 25 rooms to the 20-room 4-star resort, which is on a 15-year lease from the Tamil Nadu Tourism De­velopment Corporation in Kumbakonam. The proposal envisages an investment of Rs.50 million.

PROJECTS UNDER IMPLEMENTATION

BRIDGES & FLYOVERS

Government of Madhya Pradesh is implementing the construction of 2 bridges in Shajapur & Rajgarh. The project details are as follows:

  • Construction of HL bridge for 210 mtrs across Newaj River on Bhayana Shujalpur Road in Shajpur district. Vindhya Constructions, Rewa has been awarded the contract at a value of Rs.62.3 million and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2011.
  • Construction of submersible bridge spanning 165 mtrs across Newaj River on Tikod Ninor Amlar Road in Rajgarh district. SK Agarwal contractors, Rajgarh is the contractor and is valued at Rs.33 million. The bridge is slated for completion by the end of 2010.
