PROJECTS IN PLANNING STAGE
Oil & Natural Gas Corporation has proposed plans on the development of phase II programme in Mumbai High North redevelopment project. The project is to increase the capacity of crude oil & natural gas production and is expected to be 17.354 MMT of crude oil and 2.987 BCM of natural gas aggregating to 20.34 MMT of oil equivalent by March 2030. The project will be developed at an investment of Rs.71,333.9 million. The project is scheduled to be completed by September 2012.

Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves a wholly-owned subsidiary of OIDB with the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas is planning to implement a crude oil storage facility (1.5 million TPA) in Mangalooru district of Karnataka. Engineers India, Delhi is the project consultant and Geo-stock of France has been appointed as the technical consultant. As of January 2009, land has been acquired and environmental clearances have been secured. The project is expected to be completed by the last quarter of 2012. Plans are also on the anvil to implement a crude oil storage facility at Padur/ Heruru in Udupi district.

PROJECTS UNDER IMPLEMENTATION
Indian Oil Corporation implementing a R-LNG transmission pipeline in the northern region. The project is to cover 132 kms from GAIL's Dadri terminal near Ghaziabad to Panipat in Haryana. The spur pipeline (30") is to carry R-LNG for feeding natural gas to the refinery and is being implemented at a cost of Rs.2,980 million. The project is expected to be completed by March 2009.

Cairn Energy a leading player in the exploration of oil & gas is implementing a pipeline project in Gujarat. The project is to cover Mangla development field section II for a distance of 56.52 kms. Punj Lloyd, Delhi has been appointed as the EPC contractor at a cost of Rs.1,045.6 million. Work on the project is expected to begin shortly and is scheduled to be completed in 7 months.

Brahmaputra Cracker & Polymer is implementing a gas cracker project in Assam. The SPV project will be implemented in JV with GAIL & OIL, NRL and Government of Assam. The project will comprise of an ethylene cracker unit (220,000 TPA), downstream polymer and integrated off-site/utilities plants. The complex has been configured with a capacity of propylene (60,000 TPA) with natural gas and naphtha as feed stock. The complex will produce HDPE/ LLDPE (220,000 TPA), polypropylene (60,000 TPA), raw pyrolysis gasoline (55,000 TPA) and a fuel oil (12,500 TPA). OIL and NRL will supply 6 MMSCMD of natural gas and 160,000 TPA of naphtha respectively as feedstock to the complex. The balance feedstock requirement of 1.3 MMSCMD of gas up to 2012. The project is expected to be completed in 60 months.

ONGC is implementing the reconstruction of its process complexes at Neelam and Heera in the western offshore fields. The project contract has been awarded to Essar Offshore Subsea, a subsidiary of Essar Projects at a cost of Rs.10,000 million. The scope of the project involves modification & revamping works on off-shore platforms HRA, HRG, WIH, HA, HRC, NLW and NLP and installation of new equipment & facilities in the complex. The project is estimated to be completed by the second quarter of 2011.
