Govt to spend Rs. 20K cr to develop three new ports in Maharashtra

According to Nitin Gadkari, Road Transport, Shipping and Highways Minister of India, the union government in association with the state government and the private sector,  is planning to develop 3 new ports at Dahanu, Vijaydurg and Revas in Maharashtra, each having capacity to handle around 40 million tonne of cargo per year under the government’s integrated ports development plan.  Estimated cost of the project is around Rs. 20,000 crore.
