RattanIndia Power, the erstwhile Indiabulls Power, is setting up a two phase 2,700 MW (1,350 *2) coal-based power plant in Amravati. The company has commissioned the fourth 270 MW unit of the 1,350 MW phase-I of the thermal plant. The first phase involves five units of 270 MW each. With the commissioning of the fourth unit, the total capacity of the first phase has increased to 1080 MW. The last (fifth) unit of 270 MW is expected to be commissioned by the month-end.
