The Union government of India has approved revival of 1.3 million tonne (MT) urea plant at Sindri with an investment of Rs 6,000 crore. Further, the government has also approved for setting up new plant in Namrup, Assam. Approximate cost of the project is around Rs. 4,500 crore. Besides, the government is also reviving Gorakhpur, Barauni, Talcher plants.
