Southern India Mills Association (SIMA) is planning two textile processing parks one Cuddalore and another in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu. It has signed two MoUs with the state government. It would cost around Rs. 500 crore each to set up the parks. SIMA is in the process of identifying stake holders and technological experts for successfully setting up the park. As approval expected in 30 days, t would take three years for commencing operation, after setting up necessary infrastructure and facilities.
