Chemieorganic Chemicals (India) proposes an expansion of its synthetic organic chemicals manufacturing unit from 7,525 TPM to 12,875 TPM at GIDC Jhagadia, dist. Bharuch, Gujarat. The estimated cost of project is Rs. 45.5 million. The project will come up on 48,204.55 sq. mtrs of existing land. The current status of the project could not be ascertained. According to MoEF sources, Envisafe Environmental Consultants is the environmental consultant. The existing plant also produces 10,200 TPM inorganic chemicals. Total power required after expansion is 2,800 KVA, which will be sourced through Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company. The effluent will be treated in ETP comprising of Primary, Secondary treatment and Multiple Effect Evaporator (MEE). The project will be completed within 6 months.
