Kazakhstan Increases Capacity of its Major Oil Pipeline

Kazakhstan completed the overhaul of its section of Tuimazy-Omsk-Novosibirsk-2 (TON-2) oil pipeline which allowed to increase its capacity from 7 to 10 million tons of oil per year. The pipeline section 185.6 km long has been replaced within the overhaul work. The overhaul of TON-2 was conducted to ensure the reliable oil transportation through Kazakhstani section of TON-2 pipeline to Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant and Russian oil transit to China. The project cost over 32 billion tenges.
