Tenaska Pennsylvania Partners begins Construction at Tenaska Westmoreland Generating Station

Tenaska Pennsylvania Partners has began construction at the Tenaska Westmoreland Generating Station, a 925 MW natural gas-fuelled power plant near Smithton in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Construction is expected to be completed by 2018. This is the 18th project financed and constructed by Tenaska. Black & Veatch has been appointed as the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project while Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems will supply two natural gas turbines.
