Irish Water plans to invest millions in a new water treatment plant that will benefit the residents of Gortahork and Falcarragh. EPS have been awarded the contract which represents a €3.8 million investment in the area. This investment forms part of the overall €73 million committed by Irish Water to water supply projects in the county. The Gortahork/Falcarragh scheme is supplied from Lough Lagha, an upland lake. Works are due to commence at the end of 2016 with an expected completion date in late 2017. The project is being delivered in partnership with Donegal County Council.
