ZINWA to build hydropower station

The Zimbabwe National Water Authority (ZINWA) seeks to construct a 15 MW hydropower station at Tokwe Mukosi Dam and government is reported to have committed $20 million for the project. The ZINWA have so far spent $7 million towards civil works for the construction of the plant. The project is expected to be completed before the beginning of the rainy season. ZINWA is considering to partner with the Zimbabwe Power Company or other suitable investment companies, or a technical partner on the management, operation and maintenance of this project.
