Hitachi consortium bags Rs 2,390 crore DFC contract

Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation (DFCC) has issued two contracts to a consortium led by Japanese firm Hitachi for design and construction of signaling and telecom works worth Rs 1,780 crore for 915 km route between Rewari and Vadodara and Train Protection and Warning System (TPWS) works on Western DFC worth Rs 610 crore for 1,370 km route between Rewari and JNPT (Mumbai). The contracts were signed with Hitachi Limited as the lead partner and Mitsui, Texmaco and Hitachi India Ltd as others.
